THE HOLY SCRIPTURES

GENESIS 2:7
And the LORD God
formed man of the dust of the ground,
and breathed into his nostrils the breathe of life:
and man became a living soul.

ST. MATTHEW 1:23
Behold, a virgin shall be with a child, and shall bring forth a son,
and they shall call his name Emmanuel,
which being interpreted is, God is with us.

An ancient philosopher, Roman theologian, historian
He was born from pagan parents,
became Christian, sometime in A.D. 197
He lived and was born in
CARTHAGE

" Man is one name
belonging to every nation upon earth.
In them is one soul through many tongues.
Every country has its own language
yet the subject of which
the untutored soul speaks
are the same everywhere."

KAHLIL GIBRAN

What a soul knows
is often unknown to the man who has soul.
We are infinitely more than what we think.

VOLTAIRE

Bless all signs of growth, development and change in nature;
the transitions of dawn and twilight;
the movement of sun and moon, planets and stars;
the flight of birds in the sky;
the movement of wind and sea.

PARAMHANSA YOGANANDA
1893-1952
GORAKPHPUR, INDIA
AN INDIAN YOGI, ONE OF HIS WRITINGS/BOOKS:
"SONGS OF MY HEART"

He wrote about
LUTHER BURBANK:
"THE PLANT WIZARD"
"His heart was fathomlessly deep,
long acquainted with humility, patience, sacrifice.
His little home amid the roses was austerely simple.
He knew the worthlessness of luxury, the joy of few possesions.
The modesty with which he wore his scientific fame reminded me of:
The burden of the trees
that bend low with the burden of ripening fruits,
it is the barren tree
that lifts its head high in an empty boast."

Leaves That Vow To The Ground

Humility is characteristic of greatness.

Syed Sarfraz Hussain Bokhari

The expression of joy and the celebration of life is seen
in our lasting harmony with our natural invironment,
and with our fellowmen:
Through all the creations in this universe,
in a life and a time of mutual symbiosis and respect for all.

====

To live a life that is worthwhile is to surrender to
a higher purpose that ones heart has to search for.
Along its path may arise strong winds
to blow us like a tattered leaf, only to drop and
go back to the soil of life and fertilize the soil to make it rich.
Absence of purpose is absence of life,
an absence of an understanding
that man was created in the likeness of
GOD.

Cresenciana Cruz Ticzon-Bokhari

When A Soft Breeze Gently Touches

When a soft breeze gently touches,
it is The Hands of GOD.
We begin to see:
The beauty of the world,
The essence of peace,
The joy of sacrifice.
The triumph of goodness!

When a soft breeze gently touches,
it is The Heart of GOD.
HE puts us in an even tide of our life,
so we can rest from wandering.
In the seasons of our hearts,
HE gives strength, so we can face many storms!
HE lifts us, in an immortality of our dreams,
with HIM...as we abide in HIM.

As a soft breeze gently touches,
it is The Hands and The Heart of GOD.
An everlasting joy, an enduring pain,
and a longevity of a life lived for others:
As HE commanded us to be!

A Little Love

It can start with me, or start with you.
It can start with one, then spread to two.
Open hearts and outstretched arms,
Shielding another from hurts and alarms.
If we both reach out to only one,
We may have just begun,
To spread love around the earth.
Touching those who know no mirth.
From small beginnings, big things grow,
When real concern we show.
A single candle
Can fan the flame that kindles love...
Then more of the same.
Shrugging off false pretense and sham,
Opens the floodgates above
' Love's Dam.'
Let's give our best, one to another:
"A Little Love"
To a needy brother.

LEO TOLSTOY
1828-1910
Count Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy
Russian philosopher, Educational Reformer
Moral Philosopher, Essayist, Dramatist
Two of His Works:
THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS WITHIN YOU
WAR AND PEACE

"That one should live so as to have
the best for one self and one's family."

THE WORLD, NEW YORK,1909
AFTER THE ASSASSINATION OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN BY
LEO TOLSTOY

The greatness of NAPOLEON, CAESAR or WASHINGTON
is only moonlight by sun of LINCOLN.
His example is universal and will last thousand years.
He was bigger than his country-bigger than any presidents together...
and as a great character he will live as long as the world lives.
LEO TOLSTOY
went to observe:
This little incident proves how largely the name of
ABRAHAM LINCOLN
is worshipped thru out the world
and how legendary his name has become.
Why was LINCOLN so great that he overshadows all national heroes?
He really was not a great general like
NAPOLEON or WASHINGTON.
He was not skillful statesman like
GLADSTONE or FREDERICK THE GREAT,
but his supremacy expresses itself all together
in his moral power and in greatness of his character.
WASHINGTON was typical American,
NAPOLEON, a typical French, but LINCOLN
was humanitarian as broad as the world.
He was bigger than his country. We are too near to his greatness.
TOLSTOY concluded:

" But after a few centuries more, our posterity will find him
considerably bigger than we do. His genius is still too strong
and too powerful for the common understanding,
JUST AS THE SUN IS TOO HOT
WHEN ITS LIGHT BEAMS DIRECTLY ON US."

A historian recorded
that a mother took her little son to see
the monument of
ABRAHAM LINCOLN.
The little boy said:
"Mother, that is the face of GOD."

Each day is a new day.
Moments and times of renewal, of continuity of life...
as the sun brings inspiration and light.
It is a gift of resurrection of self, as we learn to accept that
each day is a gift from our
LORD.
Each day is a day we vow to commit,
for betterment of self with others and towards all man
dedicated for the welfare of humanity.

Footprints we leave behind is love
we gave selflessly and unconditionally to humanity.
The toil of that love will grow in the evolution of times,

if it is rooted for the glory of

THE PRAYER
OF
SAINT FRANCIS OF ASSISI

LORD,
make me an instrument of Thy peace;
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
Oh, DIVINE MASTER,
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled
as to console,
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.
Amen.
