Another Year...Where Did It Go?
Another year...where did it go?
Does time fly faster or do we just slow?
365 days - 8,750 hours seems a lot
...depends how we use them, profitable or not.
The LORD gives us daylight, and then the dark.
Each has its purpose, 'tho at times we miss His Mark.
We rush around, working day after day,
often forgetting to take time to play.
During night which GOD gives for rest,
We may toss and turn, striving with stress.
As we grow older, we're suppose to be wise,
though dark valleys appear and steep mountains arise.
It's then GOD lifts us to levels divine...
through His strength alone - not yours, not mine.
Has the year gone by been valuable to me and you,
learning in 'ups and downs'
He's right there, too?
The year ahead gives a brand new beginning.
With GOD as our 'umpire', may we win every 'inning!'

A Blessed 2008
Excitement, enthusiasm, expectation, joy,
a time of new beginnings.
Uncertainty, trepidation, sadness, mourning,
a time of letting go.
Life, a continuum of opposites, seems our lot.
God alone can soothe the becoming.
Rough edges that hurt others are not my desire.
The refining tool is harsh, the process painful.
God be at my side.
God’s love
made known from the beginning,
called forth order and shape out of darkness and chaos,
brought us into being.
The Light of God caresses the world.
The Light shines to disperse the present darkness,
equips us,
sends us forth to do the same.
O God, lead us.
Show us the way.
Grant us your peace.

MAY YOU ALL HAVE BLESSINGS,
IN THE YEAR AHEAD.
HAVE A PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR !
A Blessed Year
May the coming year fulfill your dreams,
no matter how impossible it seems.
One step at a time is how you learned to walk.
Remember, you can not fly - you are not a hawk!
Remember, too, God sees your heart,
especially when things all fall apart.
Our motives are most important to Him...
if not God-centered, our chances are slim.
Fix your eyes on the road that looms ahead.
Stay where you are, or change your homestead.
The very next step may appear most fobidding,
like when you learned to walk, without skidding.
Every January is a fresh new start
Yet God is still there, tending your heart.
Whatever transpires, make sure He is leading,
for He alone knows just what you're needing.
A Blessed Year...All Year Long!
